Top Internet Marketing Tools You Cannot Do Without

Every craft has its tools, and internet marketing is no different. A plumber or a carpenter would not leave the house without his or her toolkit; likewise, you must have your own toolkit of your very own. Here are the top three internet marketing tools– Don’t leave home without them!

1. Keyword research tool

This is as basic a tool to you as a hammer is to a carpenter. Nothing happens without it; all internet marketing begins and ends with excellent keyword research.

What are the best keyword research tools? Well, there are a ton of them! Market Samurai is one of the leading KW tools for some time now. People like that its results are easily filterable so you can get just the results YOU want.

At the moment, I am using a tool I just came across called Niche Refinery. You get it as part of your membership at Keyword Academy, a brilliant teaching/forum site for anyone who is starting out, or even the more advanced who want to build on what they have already done.

The old standby, Google Adwords Keyword tool, is still the first place most of us go when we are just starting out.

2. Link creation tool

Among your most essential internet marketing tools after KW research is link building. Having good keywords is not enough, as I can tell you from sad experience. You need links to support your pages. Links are what tell Google whether and how valuable your pages are. Generally, the more links, the better.

There are a number of mass link creation tools on the market at the moment, and a new one seems to come out every six months. SE Nuke has caused quite a stir since it opened in 2008. This is a mass submission tool that submits articles and posts to leading 2.0 sites, posts your RSS feeds to the RSS aggregators, and it even does video!

3. Social bookmarking submitter

Again, social bookmarking is a great tool for building links and building your rep. For now, you can use these sites solely for backlinks, which means you can, in theory, put up just about any old thing you like.

In time, I predict that mass social bookmarking will go the way of mass profile submission. The better bookmark sites will find ways to filter for quality, and the ones that don’t will fall in Pagerank, making them less valuable to you.

Many of the tools you will need can be had absolutely free; however, once you are making even a little money, I would highly recommend you invest in some paid tools. Good paid tools can save you hundreds– HUNDREDS– of hours better spent building new sites, creating new blogs or writing new articles that will increase your income and get you closer to your goals.
